Introduction of Air Source Heat Pump

What is air source heat pump

Air source heat pumps enjoy a good reputation of  "the porters of natural energy" with the features of lower-cost, easy operation, efficient heating effect, safety and cleanness. By using  air energy as driving force, it consumes a small amount of electricity to drive the compressor to achieve the energy transfer.

Working principle of air source heat pump

1. The refrigerant gas is compressed by the electrically driven compressor, which reduces its volume but increases its temperature significantly.

2. The compressed hot gas is now drawn into the heat exchanger where it is surrounded by the water that needs to be heated. As the gas is much hotter than the water, the gas transfers its heat to the water and condenses back into liquid form, but still at a high pressure.

3. The cooler liquid refrigerant then passes through an expansion valve which reduces the pressure. The liquid refrigerant is now able to absorb heat from the external air, allowing the cycle to begin again.

4. Heat from the outside air is transferred to the liquid refrigerant circulated through the evaporator. Because the refrigerant is cooler than the air, heat is transferred from the air to the refrigerant causing the refrigerant to change state to gas and back to the compressor.

Air Source Heat Pump

Advantage of air source heat pump

1. Safe and comfortable

Electrical components are not directly in contact with water. Water and electricity ar completely isolated, hence no danger of electric leakage;  no combustion, no CO and other toxic and harmful gases.

2. Environmental protection

Air source heat pump uses energy mainly from the air, by consuming a small part of the electricity to transferred the air heat to the interior. Compared with the traditional heating method, there is no secondary pollution.

3. Easy to install

Air source heat pump can be installed where there is air circulation without drilling or forced exhaust device, compared to other heat source equipment.

4. Highly efficient and energy-saving

Air source heat pump requires only a small amount of electrical energy to drive the refrigerant in the compressor to absorb the heat from air, saving 43% fee per month compared to gas wall-hung boilers, and save 75% fee compared to electric heating equipment.

Air source heat pump applications

Air source heat pump is widely used in central air conditioning, central hot water, swimming pool heating and dehumidification, industrial and agricultural disinfection, printing and flexible package drying and other fields.
