Way to Replace the Case of Sony Ericsson K850i

Smart phones just like the Sony Ericsson K850i, are popular due to their many features and sleek design. You can surf the Internet, listen to MP3s and take pictures with these devices, and you can also organize your schedule and send text messages. Needless to say, a durable faceplate (cover) is a necessity for your K850i. With this article, you can remove the case from your phone easily, without the help of a technician whether your faceplate is scratched or damaged, or you would just like to replace it with one customized to your liking.

Things You Need

Plastic pry tool

Small Phillips screwdriver

Instructions

1. Turn off your Sony Ericsson K850i and place it face down on a flat and clean table.

2. Use your Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws on either corner of the bottom of the Sony Ericsson. The screws are holding the battery cover in place.

3. Remove the battery cover by pushing it down and sliding it off the bottom of the K850i.

4. Then insert the tip of your plastic pry tool in the seam between the front and back housing of the phone. Gently work your way around the phone until the back housing pops off. Usually you will get the plastic pry tool with your newly purchased case, but if it didn’t, you can purchase one from any electronics store.

5. Next, you need to remove the two screws on either corner of the top of the phone with the screwdriver. This will release the front case. Remove the front case from the phone and set aside.

6. And now you can replace with the new case (available at your Sony retailer or online) and reassemble the phone in the reverse order you took it apart.
