Because there are so many sport games with Xbox 360, using a wireless
controller would be much more convenient than using a controller
connected to the Xbox 360 with wires. The wireless controller will give
players more freedom to move when playing. When first using a wireless
controller with an Xbox 360, whether the controller is brand-new or new
to that particular console, it is necessary to set it up. This process
is simple and straightforward to perform.

Instructions
1. Turn on your Xbox 360.
2. Put in the batteries and power on the Xbox 360 wireless controller.
3. Press the “Connect” button on your Xbox 360 controller. Can not
find the button? Just watch carefully and the button is between the
charge port and the Left Bumper button. Once pressed, the LED on the
“Xbox” button on your controller will start spinning.
4. After the LED on your controller begins to spin, press the
“Connect” button located to the right of “Memory Unit B” on the Xbox 360
console immediately.
The LEDs on both the controller and the console
flash, and the controller is assigned Player 1, 2, 3 or 4. If the
controller is not assigned a player number, repeat the process.
Tips & Warnings
It doesn't really matter which connect button you press first. Just
remember that you only have a limited amount of time to press both.
