EVI Compressor Technology (EVI: Enhanced Vapor Injection)

The Development of Steam Jet Technology Background:

1. The traditional heat pump technology applications are limited when in low temperature:
-- A sharp attenuation of heating capacity in low temperature environment;
-- Need to add a lot of auxiliary electric heating;

2. The compressor suction of the refrigerant flow is much lower than the rated flow of the compressor motor in the low-temperature environment, the compressor capacity is not fully utilized at this situation.

3. The liquid refrigerant temperature is too high before the liquid reach the outdoor expansion device, the enthalpy is also correspondingly high, the heat exchanger capacity is not fully utilized

4. Solution:
-- Create a second suction port in the scroll
-- Increase the refrigerant flow with the second inspiration and increase the degree of subcooling of the main circulating liquid refrigerant

EVI Basic Principles:

1. Cooling the refrigerant in the main circulating hydraulic pump tube by generating steam
-- The EVI compressor has two suction ports and one exhaust port

2. The working principle is similar to the low-temperature system two-stage compression with intercooler
-- Increase the degree of subcooling: reduce the quality of two-phase refrigerant, improve the heat transfer capacity of the evaporator
-- Intercooler: Lower the exhaust temperature
-- Reduction in unit power consumption: EER is unchanged or increased

3. When the evaporation temperature and condensation temperature in the largest correlation, the cooling capacity increase the proportion of the highest. For heating, the effect is more obvious in the low-temperature environment, in order to achieve a more economical vortex circulation system.

Therefore, do not mistakenly believe that: the use of EVI compressor can improve the performance of the unit, in a specific environment to be able to reflect the advantages of EVI compressor.

The Heating Capacity Increase Process
The cooler liquid coolant enters the outdoor expansion device —→ the outdoor coil absorbs more heat —→ the intake air flow increases, the compressor consumes more power —→ the condensation temperature increases —→ the condenser exchanges more heat —→ produces more heating capacity.

From the above-mentioned heating capacity increase process, it can be seen that the overall heat quantity increases due to the increase in the compressor power consumption, but the COP can not be determined to be improved, and the energy efficiency ratio during cooling (EER), and for EVI compressors only for the priority to optimize the cooling or heating.

How Does Inverter Heat Pump Works

The heat pump draws heat from the outside air through the refrigerant and transfers heat to the home air to keep your home warm during the winter.
